Photoshoot Checklist

Here’s a simple photoshoot checklist before leaving your hotel.

Bring:

  • Water
  • Comfortable walking shoes
  • Sunglasses (to wear between shots)
  • A towel for beach sessions
  • Small bag for personal items
  • Extra outfit if your package includes a change
  • Hairbrush or comb
  • Insect repellent if we’re shooting in nature
  • Accessories and props

Best Time for Photos & Video

Lighting is everything. The best times for most sessions are:

7:00–9:00 AM
Comfortable temperatures, fewer people at popular locations, and beautiful natural light.

4:30–6:30 PM
Golden Hour gives soft skin tones, warm colors, beautiful light, and a cinematic atmosphere that looks amazing in both photography and video.

Midday
Midday sessions work well for indoor shoots and fashion photography.

Weather in Phuket

The weather changes quickly, and that’s completely normal.

Light clouds often create softer light than a cloudless sky. Even a short tropical shower usually passes within 10–20 minutes.

If conditions become unsuitable, we’ll discuss the best option together and adjust the schedule if needed.

Arrive Relaxed

Please arrive about 10–15 minutes early.

Take a short walk, grab a coffee, enjoy the view, and give yourself a moment to slow down before we begin.

Try not to schedule stressful activities immediately before your session. A relaxed mood always creates more natural photos and video.

Trust the Process

You don’t need any modeling experience.

For many people, it’s their first professional photo or video session.

I’ll guide you throughout the session with simple posing, natural movement, and easy prompts that never feel awkward. We won’t spend the whole session standing still—we’ll walk, laugh, interact, and create genuine moments.

The goal isn’t perfect poses.

The goal is real emotions.

Hair & Makeup

There isn’t one right answer—it depends on the type of session and your personal style.

For weddings, editorial shoots, branding sessions, or fashion photography, professional hair and makeup usually make a noticeable difference. If you’d like, I can recommend experienced local stylists in Phuket.

For family, couple, or beach sessions, professional makeup is completely optional. Many couples and families prefer a natural look, which suits beach sessions perfectly.

If you’re doing your own makeup:

Keep it natural with slightly stronger definition than everyday makeup.
Choose long-lasting products suitable for tropical weather.
Bring lipstick or powder for quick touch-ups.

Choose the Right Outfit

Your outfit has one of the biggest impacts on the final result.

Soft neutral tones work beautifully with Phuket’s beaches and tropical landscapes. White, beige, cream, sand, olive, light blue, soft pink, and earthy colors always look timeless.

Light fabrics like linen, cotton, chiffon, or silk create beautiful movement in both photos and video.

Try to avoid:

  • Large logos
  • Neon colors
  • Busy prints
  • Thin stripes
  • Matching outfits exactly

Instead, coordinate your colors rather than wearing identical clothing.

Comfort matters too. If you feel good, it will show naturally on camera.

Don’t worry about the camera. Spend time with your partner, play with your children, walk along the beach, laugh, talk, and simply enjoy being there.

Real emotions always create the strongest memories. I’ll guide you through everything else. I look forward to creating something beautiful together.
