Marko came from Estonia to spend several months in Phuket, including a month of training at Tiger Muay Thai & MMA Training Camp in Chalong.
He wanted photos and video both for himself and for possible professional use in the future. I suggested a basic package built around his workout, and we arranged permission to photograph and film at the camp in advance.
This was Marko’s first professional shoot. Before the session, I explained what we would film and how I would work around his training. He later told me that knowing the plan beforehand helped him feel comfortable.
For most of the 40-minute workout, I captured the action without interrupting it. During breaks, I offered small suggestions when there was a chance to improve a photograph without changing the flow of training.
After a short rest, we filmed a few additional cinematic shots. Marko repeated simple actions, such as putting on his gloves and drinking water, so we had a choice of close-ups for the edit. We also made separate photo and video portraits for fighter-style posters and social media. Together, these gave him more useful Tiger Muay Thai content than documentary coverage alone.
The complete RAW material was delivered the next day, as separately agreed. Marko received the edited photographs and finished video on day ten.
