Family Photography Packages in Phuket
The most suitable package depends on the number of people, the children’s ages, your preferred location and the variety of photographs you would like to receive.
You can find the available options on my Phuket photography prices page.
If you are unsure which package to choose, send me:
- Your preferred date
- Your hotel or area in Phuket
- The number of adults and children
- Your preferred location or general idea
- Any photographs or references you particularly like
I will confirm availability and recommend an appropriate time, location and package.
Planning Your Family Photoshoot in Phuket
Before the session, we discuss the people taking part, the type of photographs you prefer and any practical details that may affect the plan.
You do not need previous photoshoot experience or a detailed moodboard. A short description of your family and the result you would like is enough to begin.
During the session, I will help with positioning and simple group arrangements. Between the more composed portraits, there will also be time for children to walk, play and interact naturally.
Choosing a Location
Beaches are the most popular choice for a family photoshoot in Phuket, but hotel grounds and private villas can be more comfortable for families with young children. They may offer more privacy and reduce the time and energy spent travelling.
When recommending a location, I consider:
- Your hotel or area
- Travel time
- Accessibility
- Tourist traffic
- The position of the sun
- The type of photographs you prefer
Whenever possible, I recommend a convenient place close to your hotel instead of asking a family with young children to spend a long time travelling across the island.

Choosing the Best Time
Phuket is hot and humid throughout most of the year, so the time of day matters—particularly for sessions with young children.
Morning sessions offer lower temperatures and fewer people. Late-afternoon sessions provide softer light and may finish close to sunset. The exact starting time depends on the season, location and weather.
For a family beach photoshoot in Phuket, I normally recommend avoiding the strongest midday heat whenever the family’s schedule allows it.
Preparing Children for the Session
Children do not need to pose perfectly or look at the camera throughout the shoot. Some of the strongest photographs often happen while they are exploring, playing or interacting with their parents.
For a more comfortable experience:
- Plan the session around meals and rest
- Bring drinking water
- Bring a change of clothes for younger children
- Avoid a long journey immediately before the shoot
- Bring a small familiar toy if it helps the child feel comfortable
- Allow enough time so nobody needs to rush
If a child needs a short break, we take one. The session can continue when they are ready.
What to Wear for a Family Photoshoot
Clothing should feel comfortable and suit the location. Soft, neutral colours usually work well on Phuket’s beaches, although stronger colours can also look good when they are coordinated carefully.
Try to avoid large logos, very bold prints and too many unrelated colours. Family members do not need to wear identical outfits; a coordinated palette normally looks more natural.
Light fabrics are usually the most comfortable in Phuket’s climate. Young children should wear clothes in which they can move freely.
I can review your outfit options before the session and suggest which combinations will work best together.

Candid Family Photography in Phuket
My approach combines simple direction with candid family photography. I will organise the main portraits and help everyone look comfortable, but the session will not consist entirely of fixed poses.
Children can walk, run, play and spend time with their parents. This gives us both complete family portraits and more spontaneous photographs of expressions, movement and interaction.
Candid photography in Phuket works particularly well at the beach, where there is enough space for children to move and the session can feel more like time together than a formal photoshoot.
Experience You Can Rely On
I have worked with international families in Phuket since 2015. Every family is different, so I adjust the pace and level of direction according to the number of people, the children’s ages and how everyone feels during the session.
I do not expect children to stay still or repeat the same pose. I keep the session organised while giving them enough space to move and be themselves.
Frequently Asked Questions
How do I book a family photoshoot?
Send your preferred date, hotel or area, number of adults and children. I will confirm availability and recommend a suitable location, time and package.
Where can the photoshoot take place?
Sessions can take place at a beach, hotel, villa or another suitable location. Access to private property and some hotel grounds may require advance permission or an additional fee.
What if my children do not want to pose?
They do not need to pose throughout the session. I use short, simple directions and include natural activities and movement. We can also take a break when necessary.
Can you photograph a large or extended family?
Yes. Please include the total number of participants in your first message so I can recommend enough time and plan the group photographs properly.
How many photographs will we receive?
The number of edited photographs depends on the selected package. Current package details are available on the photography prices page.
Can photography and video be booked together?
Yes. Photography can be combined with a vertical Reel or a longer personal video. The format should be discussed before booking so the session can be planned correctly.
Can you help us choose clothes?
Yes. You can send photographs of your outfit options before the session, and I will help you choose a coordinated combination. You can also find more recommendations in my guide to what to wear for a beach photoshoot in Phuket.
